His stupidity needs another post!

Django instinctively checked for his gun before even opening his eyes.

Then he opened his eyes, and blinked a few times while they grew accustomed to all the white around. The dad-thing-person was there, he had to admit that he kinda liked him, he did miss dad a lot, but the whole burying his heart thing had left him slightly reluctant to grow attached to his presence... He sneezed a little, completely forgetting his train of thought...

It was kinda cold now that he thought of it.

Oh, it was snow. Good thing he had a scarf.

"Then you're really my boy", Ringo said in his best 'hangs head' move.

Snow kept falling around them, until they arrived to a small clearing. There was no moon in the sky, so seeing was difficult. There was a big tree in the middle, covered in white. The leaves moved with the strong wind, and a different sound could be heard if one paid attention.

It sounded like a rope. And it matched with the body hanging from one of the upper branches as it swinged.

Blood dripped from the body, staining the snow black. It had no legs and no arms, and there was something weird with the stomach.

Of course, what called Django's immediate attention was the purple scarf around the body's neck.

Ringo walked besides his son, looking up with a sad light in his eyes. "The cold has nothing to do with this, and you know it. There are some thing that are better aknowledged as what they are instead of letting your mind find an explanation..."

Ringo nodded dully as he looked away from the corpse. "There isn't anything that calls for attention around... so whatever the test it, it must be centered in this tree".

"Luck has never been an acquaintance of ours, has it? Let's search the obvious place first", Ringo chuckled darkly, pointing to Sabata's corpse with a finger.

"Are you flying up there?"

The hunter looked surprised for a moment, but a small grin escaped his lips. "The second best one, mind you. Go, then!"

The young vampire hunter found no obstacles as he climbed the tree, other than the strong wind and the heavy snow. The smell of putrefaction was notably softened by it.

Sabata's neck was broken by the thick rope, the purple scarf seemed to be just hastily placed to cover it. Blood kept dripping from where his stomach should be, now just an empty but bloody cavity. A white envelope rested inside it, decorated with a golden eagle.
