Why am I doing this again? D:

He was supposed to be dead.

He was pretty sure of it, he had gone to Terra, he had seen the Betas living their normal lives and he had decided to ask Trigger to stop the System.

He had died shortly after that, as he couldn't live that long outside of Elysium.

So why was he here? Why wasn't he in the middle of a coughing fit and about to fall over dead again?

And why were there zombies all around?

[At least now he's not asking you to watch him die and destroy the System? XD

And so, he will patiently (and silently) follow Trigger until they find their way into the road to San Miguel.]

[As time goes by, he starts getting anxious about the Master... he's probably tired. The place starts to look brighter, but the sun is hiding now. He can't afford losing time, but there's no way he'd ask the Master to hurry, considering his health...

[Completely oblivious to Trigger's epic inner turmoil, he is still lost in his thoughts of this world and how it works.

He is a little tired, as he is not that used to all of this working out, but somehow this place has him in high spirits and that helps him to keep going.

Also, he really doesn't want to worry his fundie any more than necessary.]

I think we may be getting closer to the exit...

I think so too... you must be tired, I'm sorry for putting you through this, it's far too exhausting for you.

[The night noises start getting louder...]

[Smiles and shakes his head.]

It's not your fault, so don't apologize. I can still walk a little more, it would be best to get as far from this City as we can.

[...waits for him and offers his arm.]

We'll go a little further... but we better keep quiet from now on.

[He takes the arm offered then and continues walking in silence, he can feel the adrenaline, and oh boy, it's something he had forgotten long ago.]

[Walks as fast as he can, Buster ready from the moment it got dark. He may not be able to see much in the night, but he does have an extraordinary hearing. He guides the Master down the abandoned streets, aware of increasing sounds of steps behind them...]

[He notices the noises too, so he walks a little faster. They've been walking for a while now, so they should be out of town soon.

Outside they'll probably have more space to move and somewhere to hide.]

[They're almost there, he can see a road ahead!

Bad thing is, there's no way to avoid a fight now that the creatures are closer.]

[Hit the head. It had been a well learned lesson for the past 3 days.]

[He steps back, he knows this routine pretty well, and he lets Trigger fight.

At least these are just strange undeads. He wouldn't like to see Trigger killing someone ever again.]

[He gets rid of the closer ones with ease... he has a small opening now, it's now or never. He has to protect the Master.]

[...so he lifts him up in his arms and runs as fast as he can, following the road outside the City.]

[He can't help but find this whole situation extremely lulzy.

So he may be chuckling as you carry him, Trigger.

[He slows down a bit when there's some distance between them and the abandoned city...

...Oh no. Nonono. The Master is laughing for no reason. Is he okay? He... he didn't let anything touch him! Ooooh... Sera-san was going to kill him if she knew.]

[And he chuckles a little more, because he just can't help it.]

Thank you for getting us out of there safely, Trigger. [And now he adds with a little playful smile.] I can walk now.

Finding something to dine is important right now, and I'm not taking a no for an answer. [Sighs, and pats Trigger's shoulder in a comforting way.]

We can see if we find anything while we walk.

[...not that he'll look for something. He'll eat later. For now, he spotted lights up ahead, so there must be a town or something, and that's exactly where he'll take the Master.]

[Oh, Trigger, you are terrible.]

[And back to walking they are, closing in to San Miguel... The solar tree is in the way so... :D]

[He can't hear any other sounds besides his and his Master's steps, so he has been relaxing visibly the more they approach San Miguel. He immediately looks at the Piledriver when they walk past it, but his attention is now on the ~~bigass~~ enormous tree near the entrance.]

[He sees the tree and smiles a little.] See? I told you we would find food.

[You probably remember the stories Yuna told you about a time when Master was more like this and less emo as he was when you saw him the most...]
