Apparently, the Gods decided that the festivities were over, and let Winter be present again. Snow storms had been a common thing the last couple of days. At least today it was a cloudy morning, yet no snow had fallen at all.
His wife was at the tea house, as she usually did after breakfast. As much as he loved her with all his heart... well, girl chat was not his thing.

Battler shook his head, with a half embarrassed smile on his face. At least he had gotten what he was looking for. It had taken a small, awkward exchange with the Librarian, but he got a mystery novel he hadn't read at all.

He had to admit he was excited as a child on Christmas with the idea of spending time with Beato while they both read the novel, trying to discover the truth before the end. Those were his thoughts as he walked on the snow (as SLOW as he could, mind you) back to the tea house.
