He remembered this feeling. That cold, unwelcoming call to those whose sins weight heavily in their hearts. The silent whisper, the unwanted order to stand before him. He knew it well.

And he hated it.

The Divine Judge's steps could be heard from every corner in town, like an eerie countdown.

He hated it. The fear, the lies, the rage inside the mortals living in this place. The invisible strings on him, guiding him to perform his duty once again.

For the first time in a long, long time, Alexander wished he had never regained his memory at all. Ignorance was, indeed, a bliss.

I do not understand reasons. All I can see is your heart, your sins... and yet, you might speak. You might try to make me hear you. You might hope your voice reaches me. Because once I start, there will be no one else to see you.

I understand. I have regrets and I committed sins... I know that those sins cannot be easily cleaned and I also know that I deserve punishment for them...

But I can't accept it now.

I made a promise to protect that city, I made a promise to protect the people living there, and I also promised that I would never stop fighting.

Punishment can come when they are safe, or if I ever forget that duty... But until then, I will fight as many Immortals, Eternals or even Gods as I need to keep my promises.
