In the thirty fifth floor, Ratatosk waited.

In the thirty fifth floor the game would really begin. Everything in the floors below was just a distraction, a warm-up maybe, and Ratatosk wasn't really fazed by the group surviving such a simple challenge.

So he waited until everyone was on the floor, waited patiently.

He could have done this before, but starting things right on time wasn't something that performers usually did.

[I'M STILL A POWER PUPPET MOFO GAIS so Suzaku does manage to avoid some of the attacks... that is until the spells start kicking in. He's visibly slowed down, but still kuru kuru kicks some of them.

Until the big personas and the overlevelled demons start wearing him out :|]

[Outside that tower, in Auk's tea house, Euphemia closed her eyes and tried to think in all the good moments that she lived with Suzaku. She knew that he was in danger, and she couldn't let anything happen to him if she could do something to stop it.

She loved him. She learend to love him, no matter his status as a Japanese person. He always tried his best to protect her, and she knew it. She knew all those battles were for her. Sometimes she always wanted that he could stop fighting, but she wasn't that selfish to make him stop doing that. Both of them knew that they could change the system from inside it, and that both of them were ready for it.

"Suzaku... Please, come back. I'll be always be at your side, no matter what path do you choose. I'll be waiting for you in the tea house."

Euphemia really wished that her heart could tell him those words. That they could reach them so he would know that she was there. That they could still be together in a place that status didn't matter at all. A world where the three of them, along with Lelouch, could be happy.

"I love you."

Her strong feelings for him were the reason that she could be trying to connect with his heart in the first place. She loved him, as she loved Lelouch as well, so she wouldn't hide her feelings anymore.

Euphemia Li Britannia.

No, for him, she was Euphie. The Euphie he loved.]

The spell finally stops him, and he ends up with his face on the floor. Suzaku's confused. Where was he...?]

[He heard her voice. He was sure of it. Why was he feeling so tired? Why was he hurt...? He could feel the subtle command to live on fighting whatever was stopping him.

Euphie... was this the end? Had she come for him...?]

[Even if it was for a subtle moment, Euphie could feel that she was there with Suzaku. Auk has been telling her about the heart, and how strong it can connect with others if someone wishes it really hard. She didn't know how much time she had to talk with him since she was new in this, but she had to make sure that her message was given to him.

"Miss Auk has been telling me that we are connected by our hearts. I... I feel happy that this is possible. So please, do your best and come back safe to the Tea House."]

[Euphie was dead. She died in his arms. A bitter smile appeared in his lips, and Suzaku let out a choked laughter. Had Lelouch felt like this when he was about to die? As he looked to the sky when life was leaving him?

There was no way for him to die with such peace at heart. So Euphie's voice was just a cruel joke from his own brain.

Still...

Slowly he raised his arm and extended it, like trying to touch someone in front of him. The way Euphie smiled and laughed, the way she frowned when she was not taken seriously, or the way she chew on her lip when she was thoughtful.... Suzaku could remember everything with an astounding clarity. Warm feelings touched his heart, and he doubted for a moment that they were his own.]

[Let's pretend that we are in Suzaku's heart now. Because it's kingdom hearts and that. And it's awesome like that. So, taran, we are in this heart place where all the dramatic scenes happen!

She moved herself to touch gently that hand that was looking for her. Like all those times that she could only watch while he fought bravely for Britannia. She knelt down next to him, touching his face with her gentle hands.

And then, Euphie frowned a bit when she could feel that Suzaku was giving up. That was not the Suzaku that she knew.]
