In the thirty fifth floor, Ratatosk waited.

In the thirty fifth floor the game would really begin. Everything in the floors below was just a distraction, a warm-up maybe, and Ratatosk wasn't really fazed by the group surviving such a simple challenge.

So he waited until everyone was on the floor, waited patiently.

He could have done this before, but starting things right on time wasn't something that performers usually did.

What will you accomplish by being paranoid? We all are already on edge. We suspect every single one of us. Let's not add more fuel to the already burning pyre, shall we?

What we do need is something that will let us finish this the most quick and merciful way for whoever is our next opponent.

If you want to spend this half hour being scared of everything around you, be my guest. I, for starters, wouldn't want to lose control of myself and fight all of you. But if that is the case, then I'd want for you to have a way to stop me.

I never said I wanted to be scared, I just said that it was an option in a pretty sarcastic way.

[Half smiles, unamused. He understands what Evan wants, but just suggesting is not good enough right now. He's not happy with the idea of killing someone, but he's used to take hard decisions in dire times. He'll have time to feel bad after they're all out and safe.

And he could be telling the truth, judging by the fact we're inside his tower with no means of going out, we had our personalities modified in various degrees and we never realized one of the group wasn't the person we thought she was.

I'm not trying to antagonize with you, please understand. I just want you to view the wider scene. I know you desire to be free from this as much as any of us. But there is a chance there is no peaceful solution, as much as we wish to. We have to cover all our bases before time runs out.

I never said you were, and I'm not trying either. I was just seeing this from the "If I were an asshole who likes playing with people's minds" point of view.
I think that it would be much more evil to tell others "oh but you didn't have to kill that person, there were other ways" after the deed was done, than just making them do the deed and forget it there.

Then again, I just came out from another one of these games, so my point of view may be a little twisted.

Well, there are a lot of people here, and I've seen a bunch of them do magic in our way up. It would be nice knowing if some of them can do any kind of binding magic or something.

With that at least we'll have time to try and figure something else up.
